Christmas is Just around the corner!

Seven more days of shopping Christmas is just around the corner!  I wanted to have a Holiday boutique at my house but unfortunately the weather hasn't helped and unexpected small emergencies such as having our water pipe break on a rainy day and having to fix it making more unexpected damage.  Our concrete had to be cut in order to get to the pipe and fix it.  And mother nature who can go against it.  I have a Sizzix die cutting machine for sale with 17 die cut blocks and 2 sets of abc die cuts complete sets.  I have posted the pictures at facebook since it's taking for ever to post here I will try again later.

Happy Thursday!  Almost Friday!  It is nice to see the rain after a long super hot summer.  But not so good when you have to go to work and drive on the rain.  Good thing is it wasn't raining on my way to work anymore only by my house.  I've been working on crocheting more stuff and finally after 2 years I am able to make little baby shoes!  I have so far 4 pairs done, working on some boots.  Although I still need to work on my store haven't gotten any sales yet.  Can't wait to have a Craft sale and try to sell my stuff.  We are almost done cleaning the garage there is so much room now I can't wait to start working on my cards and scrap-booking. 
You know now that my daughters are in a new school,  I have to say, what's up with all the super healthy strict district rules for a party.  Yes why have a holiday party when you can't really take anything.  What I mean is the teacher asks for students to feel free to take any goodies for a party but there's an attention to parents.  Make sure they are individually wrapped, healthy no more than 175 calories, stay with the district guidelines, no homemade food, low fat less than 42 grams of added sweetener,  and if you do so bring enough for 35 students.  Oh wait, it's according to the Healthy and fit the Wellness Policy guidelines.  Now this is my point of view what the heck with the lunch?  Do they follow this policy?  Because I have to either send my girls with snacks and lunch sometimes, or they come home starving.  And another thing its free lunch for all, just in case there are children who don't have enough food at home and depend on school free lunch' well how sad for them to have to eat this food that is packaged, frozen, unhealthy, and unappetizing.  I still don't understand how school lunch has improved when I believe is worst than when I was in public school.  "Nachos", can any one tell me the healthy and wellness about having "Nachos", for lunch?  Soggy frozen pizza. 
I wanted to have my daughter take a veggie tray from the market but I can't, it's not individually wrapped!  At least when I was working at another district parents had a handbook with a list of items they were able to take.  Something like that would of been helpful.

First Day of School!

Today is the first day of school for my daughters can't wait to see what happen.  They were so excited this morning they made me take them walking, good thing they start early at their new school.  It's been a long morning even though I worked.  It's so quiet, and super hot outside!  Well off to pick them up!

Nice and bright Tuesday

Good Morning!  This is a busy day for me today woke up really early to finish up some work.  Couldn't sleep thinking I had to finish and turn in.  I hope it all is good.  I still feel sleepy been up since 5:30 this morning maybe I should jump in the pool to wake my self up.  Never mind too cold outside.  I was able to see part of the sunrise, now the light hits my face as I type.  Can't seem to finish my crochet creations, but working on them every spare time.  Hope every one has a great Tuesday got to go!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another Tuesday

Heading back to work for a couple hours today.  It is going to be really hot and I don't want to go anywhere over 100 degrees here in Cali. I just went to water our small veggie garden and it is getting hot!  But our plants have really grown even the ones that we almost gave up on.  My daughters planted some squash and we though they were dead but we kept watering them and now they have beautiful orange flowers.  I have seen quesadillas made with flor de calabaza (squash flower), I want to try it but they look so cute and colorful.  I don't want to ruin the plant by removing the flower.  Well got to go have a great day!

Here is one item I have been working on it's a crochet dress for a soap or body lotion bottle.  It is made out of 100% cotton, it can also be used as a body scrub over and over again, or to decorate, and safe for washer and dryer.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  It is very hot here in Southern California.  I have been working on many projects lately and getting my crochet merchandise ready for pictures.  I thought I was going to be done sooner but been very busy.  My goal is to get them done before the end of the month, so we'll see.
 I have been working with this sensory box with my students and wow it is fascinating for them, they love it!  I keep changing the items inside the box every week, so every time they use it there's something new.

Happy Summer Vacation at last!!!!!!

Yes finally I am on vacation,  can't wait to sleep in.  Although there is more to do at home than work.  It's like working all day!  But who cares I don't have to drive for ever and get stuck on traffic.  Yeah!!!!  My new job is great I keep learning more and more every day.  Thank you Marci!  You are a great mentor.
I am working on my crochet stuff and deciding whether to go back to school or not.  Any way can't wait to finish more of my crochet to put it up for sale.  Later Happy Friday!

Here is my almost finished crochet purse.  I started a pink one but ran out of yarn so I started this one and I was done in less than two days.  I still need to add an accessory and lining inside or I could just leave it like this.  This is my first time crocheting something just by reading a pattern.  I can't wait to finish my pink one.  I don't have the instructions right now or the link to where I got it but as soon as I get them I will post it.

Great Sunday

This is a Penne pasta salad very easy to make ingredients are as follow:

1 Penne pasta box
1 bag of frexh cut broccoli
1 yellow bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
1 package of bacon
ranch and zesty italian dressing

Cook the pasta follow cooking instructions drain and wait for it to cool cut all three peppers, cook bacon and cut into pieces.  Once you have everything ready pour everything in a bowl and mix all ingredients together add Zesty Italian dressing and Ranch dressing about 2 tbs of each.  Put it in the refrigerator for about an hour and it should be ready to eat.

Getting Ready for Next Weekend!

Next week my brother is getting married at my house and I've been cleaning.  But don't feel good yet, I haven't stopped sneezing all day, watery eyes, and feel so tired.  I am glad I am not in charge of anything else since it's a small private wedding.  The floral arrangements can get done the day before and that's it.  But wrong time to get sick. 
I just hope everything turns out great that day, I wish them the best, and they enjoy their special day!

Yay!  Friday again.  We have finally arrived to the best month of the year February!  This is the best one because my birthday falls in February.  We have also added a new member to our family yes a "German Shepard".  And let me tell you it is nice but not easy to play with, he is bigger than me.  I might have gain a few pounds but he probably weights more than me.  I accidentally opened the back door, he got inside the house and boy did I struggle to get him out.  I almost thought he was going to lock me out.  I kept going outside throwing the ball at him but he wouldn't listen he kept coming right in.  Finally I was able to run faster than him, I got inside and shut the door.  That was hard work!!!

It all started like a normal Friday, end of week looking forward to a long fun weekend, rain all day, watch movies,  yay!  Until I get a phone call, our house has been robbed, are you kidding me?  Yes it was indeed!  We lost our house, cars, credit, everything last year, but who cares things happen for a reason right?  And when you think you are coming out of the hole, there you go again.  Our new home gets broken into (WTF!).  Sorry but can't avoid saying that.  I am so thankful to GOD we are all ok.  Fortunately they waited until we left, although my daughters are really scared.  They keep asking if any one is going to break in again.  It was mostly jewelry that was stolen and a shoe box filled with coins.  But the most important thing that had the most sentimental value was my ring.  It was an old vintage diamond ring I had, it was my mom's she gave it to me when I turned 15 years old, it was given to her by my grandfather when she turned 15.  I never had the chance to know my grandfather he died when I was only one year old.  So you can just imagine how much I cherished it. Materialistic stuff comes and goes, who cares things happen for a reason.  But like I mentioned before sentimental value, that can't be replaced.  And then again I thank GOD for everything.

Happy Late Saturday!

It is Saturday night on this three day weekend.  Yay!  I have been very busy cleaning my house and feeding my family.  After all that busy I have been cleaning my craft area and organizing.  I have been unmounting my wood stamps to make them like the cling stamps.  They take less space like that since I have tons of stamps from when I was a StampinUp! Demo.  I am hopping to finish soon but honestly it's going to take a while.  Well I am tired now and I still need to update my about me section so see ya later and good night!!!!!!!!!
