Finally Friday

This week has gone by so fast the kids will be on vacation already next week and I need to fill up that refrigerator and pantry with loads of food and healthy snacks.  This month is almost over I can't believed it has gone so fast.  Getting ready for my daughters birthday, good thing there will be no party this year.  It is so much better and less stressful.  Having a birthday party is nice and all but there a lot more to do besides cleaning.  There's cooking, decorating, cake, party games, special clothes for the special day, etc.  And it is never perfect.  Then there is Thanksgiving right before her birth date.
This year my daughter wanted something special and different.  So it will be!  I have added new pictures on my Etsy store but I still need to add more of my stuff for sale.  Staying home all morning is cleaning and running after my one year old.  I only have about an hour during her nap time to actually do things for my Etsy shop.  Or sometimes I have stuff made but I don't have enough time to take pictures, or if I do I don't have enough time to load them and photo shop them for them to be seen how they really are specially the color,  for some reason it always comes out too bright or too dark.
A very dear friend I have posted this on her Facebook and I feel like she just hit the spot it is so true and asked to share so here it is.

Ribbon organizer

Today I was cleaning my craft room and realized how unorganized I had my ribbon.  I went to Pinterest and found different ribbon organizing ideas.  There were many cute ones and easy ones.  Of coarse I

opted for the easy ones and only cost me $3.00.  I went to Dollar Tree bought a couple baskets and I already had a bag of dowels I had bought for $1.00 with 10 pieces.  Here are the pictures of how they turned out I should of taken a picture of before, but I still have some more I need to organized.  Just need to make another trip to the dollar store.  Anyway here are pictures of the my ribbon and bows I'm working on.  By the way I don't know how to share my pictures from my iPad that's where I have the dress pictures from two weeks ago.  I tried but with no results.  Hopefully I get my new camera charger this week.

I haven't been able to download my pictures of the dresses I bought last week at down town Los Angeles but hopefully soon.  I am working on loading first the pictures of my crochet items on Etsy.  It was a long week this week and extremely hot during the day!  And it's expected to be in the 100's over the weekend!!!!!
I am working on a Monsters INC. purse but just started it so I can't really post any pictures right now. Better late than never!

Hope you all had a great weekend!  I was busy having fun in the pool it was just too hot to crochet at all.  But I did manage to start a headband just one.  I did do a little shopping at Rite Aid and earned my $30 rewards!  Buying shampoo, hair stale products, some make up, curling iron.  Can't wait to go get my free stuff.  Anyway today is raining here in California but it's still hot!  I also bought some ribbon for a few other projects I have in the fall.
I went to downtown LA and found this store where they sell dresses every size, from $8 to $10 ea.  tax included! We bought 3 two for my daughter and one for me of coarse.  I wish I had more time to look around but it was too hot.  This place is not in the fashion district it's just one street up so it was not crowded. I am charging my camera as soon as it's ready I will load the pictures of the dresses I bought.

It's Friday and a 3 day weekend!

Good after noon to all of you!  As promised here is my blog entry and summary of my week.  Worked on some crochet projects once again and finished some.  Did some grocery shopping, tried too!  It's hard to go shopping with a hand full one year old who likes to explore the entire store by moving and taking stuff off the shelve and replacing them either on the floor or cart if she can reach.  Every shopping trip is an adventure.  I have to keep an eye on her and stack every single item she takes back to it's place.  I do have her help me put some stuff back she needs to learn to put back everything she takes out.  Maybe I should get a discount at least, I don't just leave the stuff laying around and take off like I have seen other parents do (common yes they do).  Mommy is the most busiest job there is, it just never ends.  Here I am blogging and keeping her company while she eats her avocado and cheese snack/lunch.  
I did some couponing today at CVS and they still have that promotion where you spent $30 on selected products and you get back a $10 CVS gift card.  Did you know you can make several shopping trips and accumulate your total purchase?  Yes that's right if you only bought $25 and still need $5 to complete the $30 purchase you can go back as long as its during the same week of the promotion Ex: Sunday- Saturday.  I have to do a couple of trips to CVS my self most of the time.  
I am getting ready to post new pictures of new creations on my etsy store hopefully this weekend.  So much running around during the week.  Do you like to shop at thrift stores?  I do you never know what you may find.  Since I work with children but only part time I have to purchase most of my supplies specially toys.  So I go once in a while (more like when I have a chance) and get good deals. I just went this Monday to one and found this grab bag for $1.48 minus 30% off! It was a deal there were five baby books the plastic ones I think they are called bubble books, and a puppet, 6 little plush rattles toys washable.  Finger puppets with book.  I thought that was a deal.  I can never remember the name of the store but I will get it and post it.  Have a nice weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  

It's Friday!

Haven't been able to post for a long while, but am ready to start today.  I have a goal to do this every Friday or lets say once a week.  I have been busy with back to school schedule at two different schools.  Working is fun and all but my schedule is driving me crazy.  But it will be changing soon.  I started working on my crochet purses and headbands once again or I should say finally I have time to crochet.  One of my favorite new hobbies is coupons.  I have been using coupons for years but not as much as I been using now.  There are many blogs and websites who offer how to coupon, they are very helpful.  I will post them next week.  Did you know that Staples accepts manufactures coupons?  Yes they do I just learned that this week when I bought a pack of Sharpies from $9.99 regular price to $5.00 on sale plus $1.00 store coupon combined with $1.00 manufacturers coupon from Sunday's newspaper I paid $3.00 plus tax yay!  I only buy what I really need or will use with coupons.  I don't usually post pictures either of the stuff I buy but maybe once in a while I will post some pictures here to share.  What I do want to share is any great deal I find.
  Anyway I will post pictures of my crochet stuff here and Facebook. A few months back I created a Facebook page for my small Etsy store etsy.com/shop/CreativePinkGal and promised a free gift when I reached 25 likes and now I am working on the free gifts to mail out by the beginning of next month. I had a sale thru Etsy last month yay!  I need to constantly post new stuff.  I do have new crochet items it's just making time to take pictures and post them.  I am hoping for consistency with my Etsy shop and blogging from now on so lets just see what happens.   Have a great weekend!

Good day Monday

Working hard on organizing my craft area!

I have been working on organizing my craft area and it's not easy nor does it take a day it takes a while!  But have had fun doing so.  I keep finding stuff I had not seen in years, and I'm in the keep it or toss it mood!  Or else there would be no space for my new stuff!  I been creating loads of crochet stuff such as accessories and purses.  And hair bows! I need to have enough merchandise to load on my Etsy store.  And soon Instagram too.  Taking longer than usual with a baby on one hand and ribbon or yarn on the other.  Hope this new year my small craft business can take off.  Happy to mentioned I did a few sales last year!  But now I want to focus more on my craft business than usual.
